Macbook Pro For Coding Software
Ok not sure where to post this but here it goes.
Im going to be enrolling in a masters degree in September (if all goes well) which involves game development with Visual Basic, C sharp, XNA Studio etc and audio authoring for games. My problem is that basically every software package for games development and games engines is either made by Microsoft and therefore runs on Windows, or simply only runs on Windows. Just want some advice on the following - would i be better off installing Windows on my Mac with Bootcamp/Parallels and using programming software on another partition or would it be best to get an entirely separate cheap-ish Windows laptop purely for programming?
Not sure which is best and what effect installing Windows on a Mac has on performance, compatibility issues with the software i'll be using and hardware etc when using it in Windows mode.
Any advice is always appreciated
